Already I have to correct myself. I did find the list of butterflies that Henry Parker had published in April, 1870. He adds 13 species to the list of 29 species that Samuel H. Scudder had published previously for Iowa. Most of the names are different than those used today, so it will require a little more analysis on my part before I can comment. He really just gives a list with a few comments about the rarity of the species, and not a lot of details otherwise, however.
