More Seed Heads

Here are some more seed heads from photos I took Sunday.

This is wild bergamot:

Giant ragweed has an interesting look in the fall.  It is a flowering plant but its flowers really aren’t very showy.  It doesn’t look too pretty in the fall either.

Canada goldenrod has an interesting look:

    Goldenrod, that brings back memories of a childhood spent in New England. I don’t hear of it in Calif, but it’s probably here somewhere.
    There’s a famous, old candy shop/cafe in York Beach, Maine called “The Goldenrod”, they have their ancient taffy pulling machines at work in the windows, and there’s always a crowd of fascinated kids and adults standing outside, looking in.
