First Bug Shot of the Year

We had a day with highs just over 50 degrees (F) today.  That made today one of our first spring days.

I took my camera out chasing insects.  This is not a great shot, but it is good to start the bug-photography season this year.  It is also good to see honeybees.  I lost both hives that I tried to overwinter in 2009-2010, and bought three new colonies.  Two of the colonies made it through the summer.  I choose not to harvest honey from them last year as I got them kind of late in the season and I did not think it that good of a year last year.

Maybe this year will be a little better.
