Yesterday, shortly after 9:00 pm I sat on my deck and listened to the frogs singing–leopard frogs and gray tree frogs mostly. The fireflies flashed in the fading twilight. A light breeze blew.
Today after work I sat on my porch. We had a thunderstorm shortly before I came home, and the trees still dripped. I watched a hummingbird, some goldfinches, and a Baltimore oriole. Again, a cool breeze whispered.
Both times I can honestly say–at that time and at that place there was nothing else I wanted and no where else I would have rather been.
How often can you say that?
