The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail

We have had some very hot weather here lately.  Monday through Wednesday were awful.  High temperatures were near 100 degrees F.  When I took my camera outside to take pictures the lens would fog over.

Finally on Thursday we got a break–the high was 90.  While it was still hot and steamy it felt a lot cooler.  I went to the flower garden.  Conditions were near perfect for butterflies, and I saw this eastern tiger swallowtail.  I almost got the picture I wanted.
