Fall Color

I am going to take a short break from the kinetitrophic organism discussion and go back to the backyard photography.

We have had fairly warm, sunny weather lately and we have been blessed with a lot of butterflies.  This eastern comma is a spectacular orange when its wings are spread.

When it closes its wings it blends into the background, looking for all the world like a dead leaf.

And of course, the leaves have a spectacular beauty of their own.
