Silver Spotted Skippers

Monday, before the tragic encounter I had with a deer (which was noted in yesterday’s post), I walked along the road near our house.  I saw some beautiful silver-spotted skippers, Epargyreus clarus drinking nectar from the flower of a thistle.  At one time there were three on the same flower, but I was not able to get a photo of that.
