Best of the Year

In response to a blog post encouraging people to post their best photos of the year on The Compound Eye blog, here are the photos I consider my best of the year.

Sometimes it is not just about nature–it is about people interacting with nature, as in this photo from a bioblitz at Whiterock Conservancy.

And the photo below was about nature at the Burger King.  At the Texas Butterfly Festival, about two dozen butterfliers visited a tree near the drive through window that was a host plant for the red-bordered pixie.  I liked my photo of the butterfly also, but I like this photo better.

Have a happy new year.
