What I Didn’t See

Sometimes when I take a photograph of some small creature, I don’t see all of the details.  I miss the most important part of the photograph.

For example, the other day I saw this fly, and took a picture.   I could tell that the fly was dead but I was not sure why.


I did not see the ambush bug until I downloaded the photo on my computer.  That was the cause of the untimely demise.

I also missed the little homopteran on the leaf below, which was cute and might have deserved a second look.
