Great Chief of Butterflies

Sachem is a Native American–Algonquian term for the major chief of a tribe or group of tribes.  The name is a little pretentious for a small, dull colored butterfly.

The sachem is wide-spread grass skipper.  Its scientific name is Atalopedes campestris.
